COLUMBUS,
Ohio (April 23, 2002) – The World of Children (WOC) Inc., founders
of the Hannah Neil World of Children Award, is pleased to announce the
following elections to the World of Children Board:
Michael Jokerst, Vice-President, Finance, Nationwide Services Company,
Nationwide
James Jones, President & CEO, ChildServ (in Chicago)
Ken Mills, President, Mills James Productions
Neil Mortine, President and COO, Lord Sullivan & Yoder Public
Relations
Arlin Ness, President and CEO, Starr Commonwealth
In addition, the following officers were appointed:
Board Chairman – William Gillam, retired CEO, Acordia
Board Treasurer/Secretary – Robert Setzer, President, Capital-Plus
In other business, the Board also promoted David Lippy to President.
Lippy, formerly the WOC executive director, joined the organization in
October 2001.
"Although David has been with us less than a year, his dedication
and passion for this award are apparent in everything he does,"
said William Gillam, WOC President. "David's promotion to
president is a reflection of his hard work and accomplishments."
Founded in 1998, the Hannah Neil World of Children Award is presented
annually to an individual of any nationality who makes a world of
difference in the lives of children. Founding Sponsors include:
