Bertan Kalatchi was born in Istanbul, Turkey and was educated at Tel Aviv University in Israel. When he came to the United States he partnered with John Paul Beltran in starting up a fashion wholesale business called John Paul Richard where Bertan currently serves as the CEO. He lives in Malibu, California and spends a good part of his time in New York City.
