As Director of the Child in Need Institute (DINI) in Calcutta, India, Dr. Chaudhuri determined the critical stages in a child's life where healthcare is the difference between survival and mortality. His breakthrough healthcare system is now successfully bringing critical care to India's poorest children. Dr.Chaudhuri's innovative program offers medical intervention at critical stages of development, providing vaccinations, breastfeeding advocacy, adolescent health care, and HIV/AIDS education. Samir Chaudhuri MD received a 2007 World of Children Health Award.
