World of Children 2010 Awards Selection Process:

  1. Nominations must be received online only by Midnight, Pacific Standard Time, May 1, 2010.
  2. World of Children staff will first review all Nominations submitted to be sure they meet eligibility requirements.
  3. Qualified Nominations are then reviewed by a National Selection Committee, and an International Advisory Committee.  Both Committees are comprised of leaders with diverse backgrounds and expertise.  The Review Committees are provided with standardized criteria for reviewing and scoring Nominations.
  4. To protect the mission and integrity of the World of Children Awards, an international investigative agency conducts an independent audit of each final applicant, and the program they lead to serve children.
  5. In the final selection stage, the World of Children Board of Governors reviews the independent audit reports, and votes to approve the final slate of Honorees.   Each year, the Board of Governors then determines the final annual grant allocations to be shared with the children’s programs led by each Honoree.
  6. World of Children will notify 2010 Nominee Finalists by September 1, 2010.
  7. The 2010 World of Children Awards Events will be held in New York City on November 4, 2010.
