|
"It is heartening to know that such good work is being done on behalf of children around the world. Receiving recognition by the World of Children encourages all who help children to continue in their missions."
Father William Bryce Wasson is the founder of Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (NPH), a family of children's homes in Mexico.Wasson has dedicated more than 45 years of his life to serving orphaned and abandoned children by providing more than 10,000 of them with housing, health care, and loving environments. Wasson's NPH homes also provide outreach and medical services to communities in need throughout Mexico and Central America. Since becoming one of the World of Children Award winners, he and his organization have continued to care for orphaned and abandoned children in Mexico and Honduras as well as opening new homes in Belize and the Dominican Republic. NPH is starting several new projects including the construction of a much needed hospital in Haiti, permanent homes in Guatemala and El Salvador, and the completion of classroom buildings for a new school in Guatemala. The funds awarded to Wasson as a recipient of the World of Children Award directly impacted children's lives by providing food, clothing, medical care and educational materials. Wasson has spent his entire life selflessly giving poor and abandoned children a chance at life, and he is very grateful for the support and recognition received for his organization while he was an Honoree for World of Children.
