World of Children® Award provides funding and recognition to support life-changing work for children by discovering and elevating only the most effective changemakers for children worldwide.

We give awards in 4 categories — Education, Health, Humanitarian, and a Youth Award for individuals under the age of 21 (read Award Requirements). To nominate someone for a 2015 Award, click the button below.

Important Dates

All Nominees must be able to attend the Awards Ceremony on November 5, 2015 in order to be considered for an Award.

  • January 2015 – Nominations open online
  • April 1, 2015 (at 11:59 pm PDT) – Nominations close
  • April – August 2015 – Review & Investigative Process
  • September 2015 – Honorees announced
  • November 5, 2015 – Annual Awards Ceremony in New York City
 

Awards We Give

Our Awards recognize real-life heroes working to dramatically improve the lives of children. To become a World of Children Award Honoree does not stop at receiving grant funds–our Honorees join a group of 100+ child advocates previously awarded and receive media attention to help their gold-standard programs garner greater success and support.  To learn more about our Awards, click on an image below, or read more here.

World of Children Health Award

The Health Award recognizes individuals making extraordinary contributions to children through the fields of health, medicine, or the sciences. See the requirements>>

World of Children Humanitarian Award

The Humanitarian Award recognizes individuals making extraordinary contributions to children through social services or humanitarian services. See the requirements >>

World of Children Education Award

The Education Award recognizes individuals making extraordinary contributions to the education of children thus providing them the platform from which to become fully productive members of society. See the requirements >>

World of Children Youth Award

The Youth Award recognizes a young person under the age of 21 who has made significant contributions in the lives of other children. See the requirements >>

What is an Honoree?

Each year, we honor child advocates with monetary awards. In this video (featuring our 2013 Honorees), you can gain an understanding of the types of courageous people we honor and the sustainable, life-changing programs they operate as they share their stories of helping some of the world’s most vulnerable children.
