Part of unique outreach program from one of the largest business alumni organizations in the world
CINCINNATI, OH; January XX, 2012 – The P&G Alumni Network* has announced the January 26
release of its first book, When Core Values are Strategic, and a new collaboration with Premier Speakers
Bureau to create the P&G Alumni Network Speakers Bureau. These initiatives are designed to share the
expertise of its members with companies, individuals and non-profits around the world. The P&G Alumni
Network is an 18,000-member global organization of former Procter & Gamble employees.
The Network also has formed the P&G Alumni Foundation to guide the Alumni Network’s philanthropic
activities. All proceeds from the new book and speakers bureau will support the Network’s philanthropic
work.
“These new initiatives are intended to share the expertise of P&G Alumni Network members even more
broadly,” said Ed Tazzia, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Alumni Network. “The P&G Alumni
Network is made up of some of the most talented business people in the world. In fact, 30 of the Fortune
100 are directed by former P&G employees. The P&G Alumni Network includes people who left P&G
to go on to distinguished careers elsewhere, as well as P&G retirees. These leaders have valuable
experiences that can benefit businesses and non-profit organizations everywhere.”
The new P&G Alumni Network initiatives include:
- A first-ever collaboration with Pearson/FT Press to publish its first book, When Core Values
Are Strategic. The book features nearly forty alumni, each speaking to the shared values and
experiences gained while at P&G that have impacted their professional careers. The prologue is
by retired P&G CEO AG Lafley; retired P&G CEO Ed Artzt has written the epilogue. In between,
alumni like Jim McNerney, CEO of Boeing, Carole Black, former CEO of the Lifetime Network, Kevin
Roberts, CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi, Jane Thompson, former President of Walmart Financial, and
Cynthia Round, EVP of United Way, tell stories that will be valuable to businesspeople, students
and organization leaders around the world. The book goes on sale to the public on January 26 at
bookstores and online retailers.
- A new partnership with Premiere Speakers Bureau to form the P&G Alumni Network Speakers
Bureau. This ground-breaking speakers bureau (www.pgalumnispeakers.com ) enables companies
and organizations to access distinguished, inspiring speakers including Paul Charron, Chairman
of Campbell’s Soup, Kay Napier, CEO of Arbonne, Daniela Riccardi, CEO of Diesel, and James
Hackett, CEO of Steelcase, and many others. All fees will be donated to charitable causes supported
by the P&G Alumni Foundation.
“This collaborative effort is a natural fit,” said Duane Ward, founder of Premiere Speakers Bureau,
and past President of International Association of Speakers Bureaus. “The Alumni Network Speakers
Bureau provides access to several Fortune 100 executives and other key business leaders. With
Premiere’s experience in the speaking industry, I am confident our clients will be excited about
scheduling a terrific speaker while also benefiting a valuable cause.”
P&G Alumni Network Speakers Bureau is now accepting engagements. They are found at
www.pgalumnispeakers.com, by contacting Carl Ware at Carl@pgalumnispeakers.com, or calling

Premiere Speakers Bureau is a leader in the speaking industry with over 75 notable exclusive
speakers. It was founded in 1994 and has scheduled over 20,000 speakers since inception.
- Formation of the P&G Alumni Foundation, a non-profit foundation that funds the activities
of organizations around the world with the mission of encouraging “economic empowerment” for
everyone. The proceeds from both the book and speakers bureau will benefit the new P&G Alumni
Foundation. “The Network’s mission is to give back to the communities in which its members live
and work,” said Tazzia. “The Foundation will oversee grants to worthy organizations that enable
economic empowerment.”
